We’re Hiring a Full Stack Web Developer
We have a great opportunity for a full stack web developer to join us in Killaloe.
It’s a hands-on coding role, working across the stack with a team of skilled developers building digital B2B web technology solutions.
If you’re an above average developer, smart enough to pick up new concepts and ideas rapidly, and can back it up with demonstrable skill in PHP and JavaScript, then we want to hear from you.
About You
You’ll need to be a smart, adaptable full stack web developer at any stage of your career.
You won’t need to know everything about every technology or programming language that we use initially, but you will need to possess and demonstrate a strong understanding of core programming concepts and the ability to think laterally in the analysis and solution of problems.
You’ll probably be someone who codes for fun, enjoys solving problems and doesn’t need to be asked twice to get involved with a project.
Our team includes specialists, but we’ll need you to be a generalist – tackling a variety of different problems and challenges across the full web stack, from browser to server.
You’ll need to be comfortable working with MacOS and/or Linux.
We prefer candidates with demonstrable skill in at least three of the following:
- JavaScript (ES6)
- PHP
- MySQL
- CSS preprocessors
- Git
- Laravel
- WordPress development
- Vue.js
- Apache or NGINX
Your educational attainments and experience will be taken into consideration, but demonstrable skill in some or all of the above is the most important thing to us. We want someone who is smart enough to pick up new concepts and skills rapidly, can follow detailed instruction and is enthusiastic and driven enough to make the most of this opportunity.
You must be eligible to live and work in Ireland and fluent in written and spoken English.
What we offer
The role is full time, normally office based, and hours are 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary and benefits are negotiable, depending on your level of experience and ability.
Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will work as a full stack developer on a variety of B2B web projects, building and maintaining bespoke WordPress websites and web applications, styling and building frontends to exacting specifications and debugging, troubleshooting testing and refactoring code.
You will receive support and training from your colleagues and will have regular code reviews with the Technical Director to guide your progress and provide you with useful feedback. You will have an excellent opportunity to work with world class web developers and to develop your skills on worthwhile and interesting projects.
Normally you’ll work in a busy, comfortable, inclusive and safe environment based in our well-appointed offices in Killaloe. You’ll have a good chair, peace and quiet and great coffee on tap. We are currently working remotely, of course, and will return to a clean and hygenic office when it’s safe to do.
You’ll be given a 27″ iMac as your primary work machine.
